A week-by-week guide to what you may experience as your treatment begins.
Introduction:
Welcome to your Medara program. Your medication is designed to support appetite control, weight management, and healthier long-term habits. Results are gradual, and the first few weeks are about helping your body adjust.
What to expect:
In the first few weeks, you may notice reduced appetite, feeling full earlier, fewer cravings, or changes in digestion. Some people lose weight early; others notice changes more gradually as the dose increases.
Week-by-week guide:
Week 1–2: Focus on routine. Choose one injection day, drink enough water, and eat smaller, protein-rich meals.
Week 3–4: Appetite may reduce further. Side effects such as nausea, constipation, bloating, or reflux can happen, especially after heavier meals.
Dose increases: Your clinician may increase your dose slowly to improve effectiveness while reducing side effects. Do not increase faster than advised.
Longer term: Weight loss is usually best supported by consistent medication use, protein intake, strength activity, sleep, and regular follow-up.
Indian diet tips:
Prioritise dal, curd, paneer, eggs, fish, chicken, sprouts, tofu, soy, chana, and Greek-style yoghurt. Keep rice, roti, dosa, idli, poha, and upma portions moderate rather than removing them completely. Fried snacks, very spicy meals, sweets, and large late dinners may worsen nausea or reflux.
